Reporting to the Sales Manager, Western Canada the Sales Representative is responsible for the development and management of Access Solution sales within their designated region. This position requires close communication with the Operations team on all potential and scheduled jobs. These duties include continually engaging with current clients, future clients, the public, and any other stakeholders involved with Northern Mat & Bridge business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow the process of sales to create quotes based on the customers’ needs
  • Monitor operations in their area to ensure that client needs are being appropriately met
  • Understands and displays that the customer is the first priority
  • Inform Sales Manager, Western Canada in a timely manner on sales, competitor Intel and market activity
  • Following up on leads and conducting research to identify potential client
  • Actively seek out and call existing and prospective clients
  • Develop and maintain a customer list
  • Follow up on jobs performed by Northern Mat and Bridge in your sales area and report to Sales Manager, Western Canada
  • Communicate with the NMB sales department regularly to exchange information regarding discount agreements, pricing and leads
  • Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to the customers and the public
  • Present yourself in a professional manner at all times while representing Northern Mat and Bridge
  • Additional duties and tasks as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High standards of discretion, ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive corporate and client information
  • High proficiency in MS office, including word and excel , with the ability to learn new software as required
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • The ability to understand customer needs and desires
  • Networking and relationship building skills
  • A positive, self-motivated and energetic team player attitude with the willingness to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong outside sales skills
  • Effective problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Capable to travel as required

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional outside sales experience in Earthworks Construction in the Forestry, Mining, Pipeline or Oil and gas industry
  • Customer service experience
  • Matting and bridge product knowledge a definite asset

Education Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business/sales an asset
  • Clean Driving Abstract/License
