Meet Jaime Brito, Business Development at Northern Mat and Bridge – East. Jaime has been a part of the team since January 2018. Learn more about Jaime and why he’s proud to work here:

What’s your favourite part of working at Northern Mat and Bridge?
Definitely our people. We have a great team here in the Eastern Division (and the company as a whole), and we all get along very well. Everyone is dedicated to achieving the best results for our business, and our customers. Being part of a dedicated team is very important to me.

If you weren’t in business development at NMB, what job would you like to have?
VP, Eastern Canada. He has a unique role in which he oversees and manages multiple departments of our Eastern division. It would allow me to learn all aspects of the business, and then utilize various skills to help develop and lead with perspective, from all sides of the business.

How did you first decide to apply at NMB?
A former colleague of mine joined NMB, and had nothing but great things to say about the company and the team. Once I met some of the management team, and got to know more about the company and it’s services, I definitely saw the potential in the development role for new segments. It’s been a great challenge.

If you had a time machine that only worked once, what year would you travel to and why?
I would have to travel to Year 0, and meet Jesus. I know it’s an odd choice, but there’s no one that’s more famous or has had a greater impact on generations of society than him. If you could only meet one person, I think the most polarizing and influential name in human history would be the most interesting choice.
As for a particular time period, I would say the 60’s. Many iconic moments; be it landing on the moon, the civil rights movement, technological advancements, the love generation, you name it. It was an interesting time for sure.

What’s your favourite meal?
Everyone loves a great steak or moms home cooking, but if there’s one dish I can eat anytime/anywhere, it’s chicken wings. They always hit the spot.

What’s your favourite movie?
I know it’s cliché, but it has to be The Godfather series. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve watched it, if it’s on TV, I’ll make time to watch it again.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Music. Regardless of your mood or present situation, Music always adds something special to it.

When it comes to snacks, do you like salty, sweet or both?
I’d have to say both. My weaknesses are Ms. Vicki’s Chips for the salty side, and Sour Keys for the sweet tooth.

If you could retire on the beach or in the country, which would you choose?
The countryside. The beach is always great to visit, but having my own little piece out in the countryside is where I would want to retire.
